SF SEISMIC provides all of its clients with a ‘Turn-Key’ Residential Seismic Retrofit. We offer complete services for planning, designing, and installing an effective seismic retrofit solution for your residence. Upon completion, you and your family will be further protected when the next large earthquake or seismic event takes place.

Once an appointment has been scheduled with you, the Homeowner, you will receive the following information;
- A thorough Home Inspection by one of the Principal’s of the firm. He will survey & evaluate the existing condition of the home’s foundation & sub-structural system.
- A scaled drawing of your home’s sub-structural system including all of the necessary notes & details on the existing conditions.
- A ‘Case-Specific’ plan, detailing the seismic improvements we recommend you implement in your home. This plan will be based on the current building codes specific to your location, and will take into consideration the latest building products & practices.
- A formal Proposal from SF SEISMIC detailing the itemized costs for the installation of the improvements detailed in the ‘Case-Specific’ plan.
- A detailed description of the current risks to your residence in its current state. Also, we will describe how the measures we recommend will benefit you and your family, as the risks will be lessened with the implementation of our plan.
Upon acceptance of our Proposal, SF SEISMIC will take the next steps to insure a safe & efficient working environment for your family as well as our crews. Our next responsibilities are as follows;
- We will schedule the implementation of the ‘Case-Specific’ Plan at your earliest convenience. We can perform the work in phases if that is preferred. Depending on the size of the Project, most seismic retrofits can be completed withijn five (5) business days.
- We prepare the necessary plans to make application to the local Building Department to secure a permit for the Proposed Work.
- A Principal from our firm will manage your job from start to finish. We will staff the project as required, will take all of the required inspections, and will handle any & all issues that may arise.
- Our ‘in-house’ team of friendly & skilled professionals will install the retrofit in accordance with the ‘Case-Specific’ Plan and the approved construction drawings.
- We will do all that we can to work as efficiently as possible, keeping the disruption to your daily activities at a minimum. At the end of each working day, we will leave the job clean & orderly.
- Upon completion, we guarantee our work will receive a Final Approval from the local Building Department. At sign-off, we will leave copies of the project plans & cards with you for your records.
