SF SEISMICwas founded on the premise of providing its clientele with smart, safe, and innovative seismic retrofitting solutions at an affordable price. Since the early 1980’s there has been considerable earth movement throughout the State of California, specifically the San Francisco Bay Area. With housing costs at a premium and supply at a minimum, many of the homes throughout the City and in neighboring counties have antiquated support systems, ones that certainly were not designed to today’s rigid standards, nor are they able to withstand a large earthquake or other seismic event.
With over twenty-five years of construction experience, twelve years specifically working in the City of San Francisco and its neighboring communities, we at SF SEISMIC are extremely well versed in all areas of Residential Construction. The principals of our firm are very active in the community & the local governments, and they keep themselves on the leading edge of developments & innovation in the seismic retrofitting industry.
We practice our trade in accordance with the current Seismic Codes, as well as receive training through programs offered by FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency), ABAG (the Association of Bay Area Governments), and the ICBG (the International Conference of Building Officials). Our installation crews are all full-time employees and they have undergone training by the industries leading seismic hardware manufacturers’, “Hilti” and “Simpson”.
